The Best $10 I Ever Spent
Friday, January 15. 2010
I just spent $10 and I'm thinking of spending more. What did I do? I sent $10 to the Haiti disaster relief fund. I know that it's not much, but it's all I can afford right now. Perhaps you can give $10 too. Just think, if my $10 and your $10 are added together, it can help save a life. $10 seems like a bargain for one human life doesn't it? You can help by texting "HAITI" to "90999" and your cell phone account will show the charge. If you'd prefer to donate online or you would like to donate more, please go to the American Red Cross website to make a donation.

Donating has it's privileges too! Airlines are now offering incentives for fliers to donate to the relief efforts for Haiti. American Airlines is offering its customers 250 to 500 bonus air miles for donations made to the American Red Cross. The number of free air miles depends on the amount of the donation. The Miles for Donations Program continues through February 28 on American's web site.
The United Airlines Foundation will match up to a total of $50,000 to the American Red Cross in donations made through their link. You can also donate miles if you'd prefer.
Take a minute to save a life. Oh, and for those of you thinking about your finances, your monetary donations are tax deductible.

Cheapass Clothing...Yeah baby.
Monday, February 9. 2009
Yes, my cheap ass strikes again. I got an entire outfit (read top and bottom) for...droll please...$9.05 with tax included! No, I didn't go to a a year sale or the Salvation Army. No, it wasn't a flea market or anything like that. I actually bought Lane Bryant clothes at a closeout store. So the pants were originally $54.50 and the top was $35. I am including a photo for you so that you'll see that it's not some horrific clothing. Paired together with some black shoes and a black camisole I couldn't have done better if I had made the clothing myself. I feel like doing the happy dance. So check out your local Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Burlington Coat Factory or Famous Brands for some deep savings on clothing. Men, don't despair. I found this place called Karako Suits (or something like that) that discounts suits, slacks and dress clothes for men. There's also SIMS in New York.So I also have some more freebies for you. Oh you're going to thank me. Free fries at Jack-in-the-Box on Tuesday, February 10. You have to bring on the coupon to get your fries. Hey, if you're going to eat there anyway then get some fries.
$1.00 of Oreo Cakesters. I tried these and I love them. Since they are on sale right now for $2.00 that means that I can get a box for $1.00.
That's all I've got for now.
